The Sunday Times Where Was I? Competition
The winner and a guest will stay for three nights, B&B, at The Pig at Bridge Place, the latest in the luxurious litter of Pig hotels. Just 56 minutes by train from London, near the village of Bridge, it occupies a neo-Jacobean mansion with serious rock’n’roll pedigree: Led Zeppelin were one of many bands to play there in the 1970s.
Now, thanks to a spectacular refurbishment, it’s The Sunday Times Best Place to Stay in the southeast of England. Expect crackling fireplaces, wood panelling, weathered brick and colourful displays of cocktail glasses set against the bar’s mullioned windows. The bedrooms are in the main house, a new Coach House, three lodges and seven snug Hop Pickers’ Huts.
The prize includes one dinner for two with local wines. It must be taken between October 28 and December 13, 2019 or January 11 and March 31, 2020, subject to availability and excluding public holidays, Valentine’s Day and February half-term.
