Win a stylish break for two in the Cotswolds
Sunday Times Where Was I? competition
The winner and a guest will stay for three nights, on a B&B basis, at the Painswick, a chic, laid-back boutique hotel near Cheltenham. This relaxed Cotswolds retreat occupies a grade II listed Palladian house and mixes parquet floors and giant sofas with roaring fires and groovy lights. Wellington boots stand ready to borrow by the front door.
The Painswick has 16 individually designed bedrooms and, in the restaurant, head chef Jamie McCallum focuses on fresh and punchy flavours. Dinner might include beetroot, burrata and candied walnuts or Cornish cod and Jerusalem artichoke. Afternoon teas range from carrot cake to mushroom and truffle scotch eggs.
The prize must be taken between February 25 and April 30 or October 1 and December 20, 2019
